Charter Rates:
Rates are for one or two persons.
Unlike many chartering companies that begin on Saturday afternoon and end on Friday I can be very flexible with the starting day of your cruise. Pick the starting date that suits your schedule. Depending on the area you choose you can do 7 or 10 days. In addition, your arrival and departure ports are different. No backtracking to return the boat to it's charter base.
The Balearic Islands would be best explored in 10 days while the Cote d'Azur, Ligurian Coast, Rome to Amalfi and the Amalfi Coast can be done in 7 days.
There are additional destinations available, click for information.

Crusing Calendar

Rates: Seven days $1,500.00, Ten days $2,000.00
This is less than half of what a charter company charges for a comparable boat with a Captain.

Additional expenses: Food and liquor while onboard. All marina & mooring fees. All fuel used during your charter. A 50€ laundry & boat supplies charge. Wifi internet access, if you want it, is a shared expense, usually around 10-15€.

What I provide: Towels, linens, cooking utensils, spices, condiments, drinking water and ice while onboard.

Deposit: 25%, refundable if canceled 30 days prior to scheduled arrival date.

What to expect:

Accommodations: You will have the V-berth (watch Sea Star Video). There is a door that can be shut for privacy from the main salon.
Note: A double and single berth can also used in the main salon if preferred.

Weather: The weather in the Med during the summer is generally sunny and dry with mild days & cool evenings. Weather info for select cities:
Spain, Balearic Islands: Mahon
France, Cote d'Azur: Nice
Italy: Ligurian Coast Portovenere - Rome - Amalfi Coast - Capri

Wind: Winds are usually light to calm in the morning and evenings. Midday can be favorable to sailing during the summer months of June, July, August. However, high winds are possible. Using numerous Internet weather reports, severe weather is seldom unexpected and itineraries revised.

Weather delays: Weather delays are beyond my control, if bad weather is forecast I will not leave port or will seek a sheltered area until the weather improves. If delayed by weather and it becomes impossible to reach your departure port it there will always be options, trains, ferries, airports nearby to get you to where you need to be.

Phones: If you have an unlocked smartphone it is quite inexpensive to purchase a Sim card for the country you are in. Thisgives you a phone number, phone service and internet. There is no charge to you when receiving calls from the USA. No contract required!

iPads: Like phones it is easy to buy a Sim card for your iPad giving you internet access rather than using the boats wifi.

Communications: We have WiFi Internet access onboard unless we are offshore or in a seclude anchorage. Having a Skype account is an excellent way to stay in touch with those back home.

I send daily position reports via satellite to anyone you want to notify no matter our location showing our position and a short description of where we are.

Sailing Experience: It is not necessary to have any previous sailing experience, however if you do all the better. I am happy to teach beginers about sailing and some basic seamanship. You will need to help handle lines when we are docking. I will explain how to do this before we need to dock. You may take the helm, learn to trim sails, and navigate if you would like to.
