Update 03

Megan & Barbara arrived Monday around 7pm. We walked around and they took some pix, we had a nice dinner al fresco. Today we took the bus to Aix en Provance, about a half hour ride. It was very busy and not the small village I imagined it to be, but very nice none the less. After returning to Marseille we went shopping for supplies for the week. The most expensive part of being here is eating out so we plan to eat more on the boat. The outdoor market in Marseille had great prices on fresh vegatables and fruit. We of course bought some French wine to take with us.
Tomorrow we will sail 12 NM to what are called the Calanques which are like fijords with some of the cliffs rising over one thousand feet above the sea. We will anchor there and use the dingy to explore.

Next we sail to a town near Toulon.
Thanks to all who wrote, I love getting your e-mail and as soon as I have a connection to the Internet on the boat I will respond to all. It would shoot the budget to sit in a bar and e-mail everyone!
